Protein drops

Curly Hair Protein drops are the best way to find out if your curls are lacking protein, you can simply add a few drops to your products and use them as usual. Thanks to the unique formula, these drops mix with any product and give your curls definition and shine. 

But: too much protein makes your curls dry and brittle; and yet protein gives your curls stability and bounce. In the right amount, protein also protects against hair breakage and split ends.     

Your curls consist of 80-90% fiber protein, known as keratin. The thicker the hair, the more protein it contains, so thick hair needs less protein than fine hair.  

How to recognize when your curls need protein:

Pluck out a piece of hair, wet it with water and then gently pull it back to length. If it goes back to its original length, then you have a good protein/moisture balance. But if it tends to stay longer or break, then you're missing protein if it can hardly be stretched then you're missing moisture. 

By feel: If your curls feel stringy, weak or sticky (mushy) they need protein, if they feel hard and tight they probably have too much protein. If your curls are dry, constantly tangled and weak to the touch then they need moisturizing

Application: Shake well before use.

The number of drops your curls need depends on the following aspects:

• Length of the curls 
• Thickness of the hair
• Porosity / elasticity of the curls   
• Product to which you want to add it 

• We recommend at least 5 - 10 drops per product, use more drops for longer, thicker hair. 
• If the curls feel stiff & frizzy after use then you have used too much, your curls cannot absorb the protein. 
• Mask, at least 15 drops 
• Refresh, if your curls look limp and lifeless after a few days, moisten your curls with water, add a few drops to your leave in or gel, rub on the palms of your hands and comb & scrunch into the curls.

You can select the "Pick up by yourself" option at the checkout, in which case your order will be ready for collection from 3 pm at the latest (except Saturday & Sunday) and can be collected by you around the clock.

It goes without saying that every order you place with lockenkopf is sent to the post office as quickly as possible. Orders received by 3 p.m. are handed over to the post office on the same day. The costs for transportation are the prices specified by the post office:
