You are beautiful here. I think my path to natural curls is similar to that of many other women with afro hair. Where I grew up, women with natural curls were considered poor. Because why else would a woman not straighten her hair? It wasn't until many years later, as an adult woman, far from my country of birth, that I made the radical decision that I wanted to wear my hair natural.
Today I have a different relationship with my hair, caring for it has become a ritual for me, in my own time. Over the years, I've started looking for organic products that are just as natural as my hair is now.
