Protein drops

The protein drops from Curly Hair Protein are the best way to find out if your curls are lacking protein, you can simply mix a few drops into your products and use them as always. Thanks to the unique formula, these drops mix with any product and give your curls definition and shine. 

But: too much protein makes your curls dry and brittle; and yet protein gives your curls stability and bounce. In the right amount, protein also protects against hair breakage and split ends.     

Your curls consist of 80-90% fibrous protein, called keratin. The thicker the hair, the more protein it contains, so thick hair needs less protein than fine hair.  

How to tell when your curls need protein:

Pluck out a hair, wet it with water and then gently pull it into length. If it goes back to its original length, then you have a good protein/moisture balance. But if it tends to stay longer or break, then you'll be lacking protein, if it's hard to stretch, then you'll be lacking moisture. 

By feel: If your curls feel stringy, weak or sticky (mushy) they need protein, if it feels tight and hard the curls have probably had too much protein. If your curls are dry, constantly knotty and weak to the touch then they need moisture.

Application: Shake well before use.

The number of drops your curls need depends on the following aspects:

• Curl length 
• Hair thickness
• Porosity / elasticity of the curls   
• Product to which you want to add it 

• Recommended is at least 5 - 10 drops per product, use more drops for longer, thicker hair. 
• If the curls feel stiff & frizzy after use then you have used too much, your curls cannot absorb the protein. 
• Mask, at least 15 drops 
• Refresh, if your curls look limp and lifeless after a few days, wet your curls with water, add a few drops to your leave in or gel, rub into palms and comb & scrunch into curls.

You can choose the option "Self-collection" at the checkout, then your order will be in the lockenkopf mailbox by 4 pm at the latest and can be collected by you. (Except Saturday & Sunday)

Of course, every order you place at lockenkopf is sent to the post office as quickly as possible. Orders received by 3 p.m. will be handed over to the post office on the same day. The costs for the transport are the prices given by the post office:
